Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a linear motion guide device (1) which is highly rigid, guides linear motion with satisfactory accuracy, has reduced play, and requires reduced maintenance because sand, water, or the like is prevented from entering an actuator body. A linear motion body (5) comprises divided bodies (12a-12c) which are separated in the axial direction. Each body (16) to be guided which is in contact with each two paired guide surfaces (15) is supported by the divided body (12a-12c), and this enables preloads to be applied between the guide surfaces (15) and the bodies (16) to be guided. A housing (2) has a hermetically sealed structure, and pressure within the housing (2) is set to be higher than outside pressure. Consequently, external sand, water, or the like is prevented from entering the housing (2).
