Abstract:
Provided is a linear motion guiding device such that a proper length and depth suitable for the use conditions of a tapered portion provided on the end of a guiding rail are defined and such that a decrease in the durability of connecting portions can be reliably suppressed. The linear guidance device (1) is configured so that a guiding rail (10) end becomes gradually smaller in the longitudinal direction so as to form a tapered portion (10B). The tapered portion (10B) length (L) is no less than 0.5 times and no more than 1.5 times the diameter (r) of a rolling body (30). The tapered portion (10B) depth (t), a connection level difference (A) in the width direction between one guidance rail (10) and another guidance rail (10), the amount of elastic deformation of the rolling body (B), and the contact angle (α) of the rolling body (30) with respect to a raceway face (11) satisfy "t ≥ A+(B/cosα)."
