Abstract:
A linear motor coil assembly (12) includes a large number of coils (14) which have respective coil axes perpendicular to the direction of the movement and are arranged in one row in the direction and a flat cooling pipe (20) which meanders between the coils. The cooling pipe has a cross section extending parallel with the coil axis and a large number of through holes (25) through which the coolant flows are formed in the cooling pipe. The cooling pipe is folded at least the same times as the number of coils. The coils can be fitted to the folded parts. When the coils are assembled, the coils are wound on cores (13) divided for the respective coils, and the cores are inserted into the folded parts of the cooling pipe.
