Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a linear motor and a compressor that are effective with respect to even a non-fixed structure in which the ends of a resonant spring are not fixed and are capable of suppressing loads acting on a mover in the up-down direction and in the right-left direction. The linear motor is provided with: a mover 2 driven in a first direction; a resonant spring 400 capable of vibrating in the first direction; and a permanent magnet 210 provided in the mover 2 and magnetized in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The linear motor has: a bearing 480 movable with respect to both a force in the second direction and a force in a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions; and an elastic body support member 450 connecting the resonant spring 400 and the bearing 480.
