Abstract:
This linear motor is characterized by: including a stator having a plurality of cores and coils for exciting the respective cores, and a mover comprising a permanent magnet and moving with electromagnetic force received from the stator as the propelling force, each of the plurality of cores including an excitation part around which the coil is wound and an action part that is formed so as to magnetically couple with the excitation part and that causes a magnetic flux received from the excitation part to act on the permanent magnet of the mover; and including an air gap between the excitation part and the action part, or a heat conduction reducing part that reduces heat conduction to the action part from the excitation part as compared to a case where the excitation part and the action part are directly contacted.
