Title:
LINEAR MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/074112
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a linear motor formed by being provided with: an outside permanent magnet row (11) formed by placing arc-shaped permanent magnets side-by-side such that the magnetic poles thereof are rotated a maximum of 90 degrees at a time for a cross section which includes the central axis thereof; a field equipped with an inside permanent magnet row (15) for which the magnetic poles of ring-shaped permanent magnets have a magnetization vector radial direction component with the same orientation as the outside permanent magnet row (11) and have a magnetization vector axial direction component with an orientation opposite to that of the outside permanent magnet row (11); an armature equipped with a ring-shaped three-phase coil (31) which is supported to be movable in the axial direction of the ring between the outside permanent magnet row (11) and the inside permanent magnet row (15); and a drive device (9) which generates a prescribed thrust in the armature. Thus, it is possible to cause a strong magnetic flux to be linked in the armature coil without using a core, and the magnetic flux of the field is linked in the entire armature coil.
