Abstract:
A linear motor comprises: a primary member comprising a plurality of armature modules; and a secondary member comprising a permanent magnet module comprising a plurality of permanent magnets which are arranged such that the respective poles thereof alternate in a progressing direction. The armature modules each comprise: a magnetic core comprising two or more projection parts; and a coil wound around the magnetic core and having a current of the same phase flowing therein. Power having a predetermined phase difference is applied to the respective coils of the armature modules so as to enable the generation of thrust for P number of the permanent magnets and S number of the armature modules, which form one unit. The primary member and the secondary member move relative to each other by means of thrust which is generated by means of any one among the primary member or the secondary member becoming a mover and the other one becoming a stator in a state where the permanent magnet module is disposed between the two projection parts of the armature modules. The plurality of armature modules include three or more armature blocks which are each formed of two or more of the armature modules, having the current of the same phase flowing in the respective coils thereof, neighboring each other in the progressing direction, wherein the three or more armature blocks may be coupled by means of, in each of the armature blocks, having a first rod pass through one or more first holes formed in the respective magnetic cores of the armature modules, and fixing either end of the first rod to the respective armature modules on either end of said armature block, and having a second rod pass through one or more second holes formed in the respective magnetic cores of the armature modules, and fixing at least one or more among either end of the second rod by means of a fastening means.
