Abstract:
The objective is to move a movable element smoothly with sensorless vector control in a constant-speed region without the use of a position sensor while enabling stopping control and control in a low-velocity region. When the moving velocity of a movable element is faster than a prescribed velocity that is within a range wherein the movable element can be moved by means of a prescribed sensorless vector control synchronously with the movement of a magnetic field generated by an armature, the sensorless vector control is used to control the current flowing through the armature. When the moving velocity of the movable element is slower than the prescribed velocity, with respect to the d-q coordinate, wherein the direction of the magnetic flux created by the magnetic field is the d-axis and the phase that leads by π/2 with respect to the d-axis is the q-axis, a d-axis armature current and a q-axis armature current are controlled such that a d-axis electrical angle that corresponds to a position command is created, a current flows through the d-axis armature, and a current does not flow in the q-axis armature.
