Abstract:
Provided is a thin linear vibration motor that suppresses the occurrence of operating noise. A linear vibration motor 1 is provided with: a stator 10; a movable element 20 elastically supported by the stator 10 so as to freely vibrate along an axial direction; and a drive unit 30 that has a coil 31 provided to the stator 10 and a driving magnet 32 provided to the movable element 20, and that causes the movable element 20 to vibrate in a reciprocating manner along the axial direction via current conduction to the coil 31 while attracting the driving magnet 32 via a magnetic body (support plate 11) disposed on the stator side of the coil 31. The stator 10 is provided with a stationary magnet 14 that is magnetized in a direction intersecting the axial direction. The movable element 20 is provided with a movable magnet 24 that faces the stationary magnet 14 while being repelled thereby.
