Abstract:
The present invention relates to a linear vibrator having a broad bandwidth which, by virtue of being able to generate a large vibrating force while being small in size, is structured to be capable of outputting a broad range of vibrations over a broad bandwidth, and to a mobile device which outputs a diverse range of vibrations and sounds. The linear vibrator comprises: a case; a spring coupled to the case; an oscillator which includes a magnet therein and which is resiliently supported on the spring; and a stator which is disposed within the case and which causes the oscillator to oscillate. With respect to resonant frequency, the frequency bandwidth of the linear vibrator up to the maximum usable frequency that can be sensed as a vibration or a sound is 1.2 or more times greater than the frequency bandwidth up to the minimum usable frequency. Accordingly, the linear vibrator having a broad bandwidth can provide various sensations by means of vibrations and sounds.
