Abstract:
In a fixed blade support base (41) and/or a fixed blade base mounted on a casting
cutting device, sliding surfaces in sliding contact with both side plates (2b)
are formed on both sides of the fixed tool support base (41) and/or the fixed blade
base which is movable when desired. Cut recesses extending from the upper ends
to the lower ends of the sliding surfaces are formed in the sliding surfaces. Buildup
welding for making each cut recess flush with the sliding surface is applied to
the cut recess to form a buildup weld strip substantially flush with the sliding
surface. Wear of the sliding surfaces is minimized, and damage due to wear when
the particles or small pieces of casting debris enter a gap between each side plate
and the fixed blade support base (41) and/or the fixed blade device is reduced.
