Title:
LINK ACTUATING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/110739
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a link actuating device that is diametrically compact, it being possible to install an actuator for controlling orientation without limiting the range of actuation. A distal-end-side link hub (3) is linked via three or more link mechanisms (4) to a proximal-end-side link hub (2) in a manner allowing orientation to be changed. Each of the link mechanisms (4) has a proximal-end-side end link member (5), a distal-end-side end link member (6), and a central link member (7). Each of the proximal-end-side end link members (5) has a curved part (30) and rotating shaft attachment parts (31A, 31B). A rotating shaft (21) is attached to each of the rotating shaft attachment parts (31A). Bevel gears (54), which are at least a portion of a gear mechanism (52) for transmitting, to the proximal-end-side end link members (5), rotational motion produced by an actuator (50) for controlling orientation, are positioned inside spaces (S), and attached to the rotating shaft attachment parts (31A). Each of the spaces (S) is sandwiched between two imaginary planes obtained by extending the radially inside edge and radially outside edge of one end of each of the curved parts (30) in the length directions of the rotating shaft attachment parts (31A).
