Abstract:
Provided is a link actuation device such that a movable section is configured as a two-degree-of-freedom mechanism, that the movable range of the movable section is wide, that the movable section is lightweight, and that the positioning accuracy of the movable section is high. An output member (105) is connected in an attitude-adjustable manner to an input member (104) via three or more sets of link mechanisms (101). The link mechanisms (101) each comprise a central link member (101b), and end link members (101a, 101c) on the input side and the output side. In the case of each of the link mechanisms (101), a geometric model wherein the link members (101a, 101b, 101c) are represented by straight lines, is shaped in such a way that the input side and the output side are symmetric with respect to the central section of the central link member (101b). Two or more sets of the link mechanisms (101) are operated by means of a link mechanism driving source (121), resulting in the attitude of the output member (105) being controlled. Flexible wires (4A) which are flexible and transmit rotational force in a direction in which the input member (104) and the output member (105) are disposed, are provided through the interior of the arrangement of each of the link mechanisms (101).
