Abstract:
The invention relates to a link apron (1) to cover moving machine tool parts, comprising a plurality of articulated links having a large surface (2b) that forms a covering surface segment and side surfaces attached thereto. The links (2) in said link apron (1) are placed in a stretched position and aligned in a straight line in such a way that parts (2a) of the side surfaces directly limit with each other. This prevents materials, i.e. shavings, from entering the area between the links and from becoming embedded or clogged, i.e. causing damage to the link apron (1).
