Abstract:
A lipid production method for culturing algae belonging to the Nannochloropsis genus in which the expression of Δ12-desaturase and Δ6-desaturase has been promoted and causing same to produce fatty acids or lipids that have fatty acids as constituent components; and a transformant of algae belonging to the Nannochloropsis genus in which the expression of Δ12-desaturase and Δ6-desaturase has been promoted.
