Abstract:
Provided are an α-lipoic acid complex obtained by complexing R-α-lipoic acid or S-α-lipoic acid, R-dihdyro-α-lipoic acid or S-dihdyro-α-lipoic acid, or an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt thereof, and a method for producing the α-lipoic acid complex.
An α-lipoic acid complex, which is stable to heat and an artificial gastric acid solution and has a high purity, can be produced by, for example, adding cyclodextrin to an aqueous solution containing, dissolved therein, R-α-lipoic acid or S-α-lipoic acid, R-dihdyro-α-lipoic acid or S-dihdyro-α-lipoic acid, or an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt thereof and thus complexing R-α-lipoic acid or S-α-lipoic acid, R-dihdyro-α-lipoic acid or S-dihdyro-α-lipoic acid, or the alkali metal salt or the alkaline earth metal salt thereof at a high probability.
