Abstract:
This liquefied hydrogen transportation method is provided with an air/nitrogen exchange step, a nitrogen/hydrogen exchange step, and a transportation step. The nitrogen/hydrogen exchange step includes: a pressurization operation in which hydrogen gas is supplied to a liquid feed pipe while the liquid feed pipe is in a state of being fluidly separated from a pneumatic feed pipe; a pressure equalization operation which is performed after the pressurization operation, and in which the liquid feed pipe and the pneumatic feed pipe are fluidly connected to equalize the gas pressure inside the liquid feed pipe and the gas pressure inside the pneumatic feed pipe; and a pressure reduction operation which is performed after the pressure equalization operation, and in which some of a mixed gas comprising nitrogen gas and hydrogen gas is discharged from the liquid feed pipe and the pneumatic feed pipe to the exterior. In the nitrogen/hydrogen exchange step, the aforementioned operations are repeatedly performed a plurality of times until the respective hydrogen gas concentrations in the liquid feed pipe and the pneumatic feed pipe are equal to or more than a preset value.
