Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a liquid absorbing paper having excellent freshness retention. [Solution] The problem is solved by a single-ply liquid absorbing paper obtained by subjecting a fiber raw material to a wet-laid papermaking process, wherein the liquid absorbing paper has 40 mass% or more of softwood pulp in constituent fibers, has a basis weight of 35 to 55 g/m2, has a specific volume of 4.0 to 7.0 cm3/g, includes creping formed by a wet creping process, has a mesh mark of a bulky wire of 10 to 26 strands/inch, and includes an organic acid with an acid level of not more than pH 5.5.
