Abstract:
In a conventional liquid accommodating device, it is difficult to know the precise amount of liquid remaining therein. A liquid accommodating device characterized in having: a case (31) having side walls that surround a accommodating portion (35) that accommodates liquid; a protruding portion (59) that protrudes within the accommodating portion (35) from a fourth wall (44) that is the bottom of the accommodating portion (35); and a feed opening (53) that ejects the liquid in the accommodating portion (35), the feed opening (53) being provided in the case (31) and extending from outside an area overlapping the protruding portion (59) among the area inside the accommodating portion (35) to outside of the case (31) when viewing the fourth wall (44) in a plan view. The liquid accommodating device is also characterized in that the protruding portion (59) has a first liquid-holding portion (67) and at least a portion of a second wall (42) opposite to the first liquid-holding portion (67) has light-transmissive properties.
