Abstract:
Provided are a liquid chromatograph and a liquid sample analysis method by which the separation and resolution of each component as well as the measurement precision can be improved while realizing cost reduction and miniaturization of a device. Provided is a liquid sample analysis device (HPLC device) that comprises one pump, a selector valve, a column (HPLC column), a first flow channel, a second flow channel, an air-introduction passage, a detector, and a control unit. The control unit controls the pump and selector valve, can switch between introduction of an eluate and introduction of a liquid sample into a first flow channel, introduces air bubbles between the eluate and the liquid sample from an air-introduction passage, and generates an air-segmented liquid sample in a first fluid. Furthermore, the control unit controls the pump and selector valve to cause the air-segmented liquid sample to flow into the second flow channel from the first flow channel and dissolve, in the eluate and/or the liquid sample, the air bubbles passing through the second flow channel.
