Abstract:
This LC system comprises: a liquid delivery pump (2) that is for delivering a mobile phase and operates so as to make the liquid delivery flow rate of the mobile phase a set flow rate on the basis of a correlation between the operation speed and liquid delivery flow rate that has been designed in advance; an autosampler (6) for injecting a sample into the mobile phase downstream from the liquid delivery pump (2); a separation column (8) for separating the components in the sample downstream from the autosampler (6); a detector (10) for detecting the components separated by the separation column (8) downstream from the separation column (8); a liquid delivery checking unit (30) for, at a different timing from that of the sample analysis, carrying out a liquid delivery checking mode that is for checking the liquid delivery amount of the liquid delivery pump (2) and in which the liquid delivery pump (2) is made to operate with a prescribed flow rate set for the same; and a measurement instrument (14, 32B, 34) for measuring the amount of the liquid phase delivered by the liquid delivery pump (2) during the liquid delivery checking mode. In the liquid delivery checking mode, the liquid delivery checking unit (30) uses a measured value from the measurement instrument (14, 32B, 34) to determine an actually measured value for the flow rate of the mobile phase when the delivery pump (2) is made to operate with the prescribed flow rate set for the same.
