Abstract:

One of the purposes of the present invention is to inhibit and prevent an effluent from a column from contaminating a curtain plate during liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). To this end, the present invention also proposes a filler evaluation method that entails passing a liquid through a column which has been filled with a filler, directly drying an effluent from the column, and taking the state of the dried effluent to be an indicator for evaluating the filler. Also proposed is a filler evaluation device that comprises: a column 5 filled with a filler; a liquid feeding pump 4 functioning as a liquid feeding device; and an ionization unit 6 functioning as a device for directly drying the effluent from the column 5.
