Abstract:
The present invention provides a liquid coating unit and a liquid coating device in which a change in coating amount when continuously performing coating with a high-viscosity liquid material a plurality of times is kept lower than in a liquid coating unit and a liquid coating device of the prior art. The liquid coating unit is provided with a coating needle (1), a liquid material container (5) that retains a liquid material (L), and a drive unit that raises and lowers the coating needle (1) relative to the liquid material container (5). A space (50) for retaining the liquid material (L), a first hole (51) and a second hole (52) through which the coating needle (1) is inserted into the space (50), are formed in the liquid material container (5). The first hole (51) is formed below the space (50) in the direction of gravity. The second hole (52) is formed on the opposite side from the first hole (51) across the space (50). The liquid material container (5) includes a water-repellent layer (9) that is formed so as to extend from above the inner peripheral surface of the first hole (51) to above a partial region of the outer peripheral surface of the liquid material container (5) that surrounds the first hole (51).
