Abstract:
According to the present invention, a means for obtaining high heat transfer between a side wall of a cooling-flow passage (11) and a coolant is included to improve the heat transfer in a heat transfer passage in a water jacket (10), thereby making it possible to increase the amount of heat transfer. A liquid-cooled motor (4) includes a motor case (6), a motor that is provided inside the motor case (6), a motor housing (14) that is provided inside the motor case (6), and the ring-shaped water jacket (10), which is attached inside the motor housing and in which a coolant flows in the circumferential direction. The water jacket (10) has: the cooling-flow passage (11), in which the width of the coolant-flowing passage is gradually narrowed; a coolant supply port (15) via which the coolant is supplied to the cooling-flow passage (11); and a coolant discharge port (16) via which the coolant is discharged from the cooling-flow passage (11).
