Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a liquid crystal alignment film having excellent adhesion to a sealant; a liquid crystal alignment agent for obtaining the liquid crystal alignment film; and a liquid crystal display element provided with the liquid crystal alignment film and having excellent display characteristics. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel polymer which is to be contained in the liquid crystal alignment agent. The liquid crystal alignment agent is characterized by containing a polymer obtained from a novel diamine having a structure represented by formula (1) (in the formula, Boc represents tertiary butyloxycarbonyl).
