Abstract:
A liquid crystal antenna, comprising a first substrate (11) and a second substrate (21) which are provided opposite to each other, and a liquid crystal layer (30) located between the first substrate and the second substrate. A first metal film layer (13) is provided on one side of the first substrate facing the second substrate; a second metal film layer (22) is provided on one side of the second substrate facing the first substrate. The first substrate and the second substrate are rigid substrates. A seed layer (24) is provided between the first substrate and the first metal film layer, and a seed layer (24) is provided between the second substrate and the second metal film layer. A manufacturing method for the liquid crystal antenna. The seed layer is firstly manufactured on the surface of the substrate, the corresponding metal film layer is formed on the seed layer by means of film coating, the thickness of the metal film layer can reach the micron scale, and the performance of the liquid crystal antenna is well guaranteed; the problems of repeated coating, low efficiency, serious thermal deformation and the like in a vacuum magnetron sputtering process are avoided. The adhesive force between the metal film layer and the substrate are strong, so that the liquid crystal antenna can be manufactured in a large scale at low costs.
