Abstract:
A liquid crystal backlight device (100) is provided with: a frame (120) that has a first frame (106) and a second frame (105), which form a space; a liquid crystal panel (101) covering an opening (106b); a backlight unit that irradiates the liquid crystal panel (101) with light; an optical sheet (102); a cushion member (110) disposed between the liquid crystal panel (101) and the first frame (106) such that the cushion member surrounds the opening (106b) without a gap therebetween; a cushion member (111) disposed between the first frame (106) and the optical sheet (102) such that the cushion member surrounds the opening (106b) with a predetermined gap therebetween; and a sealing material (113), which is provided on a side surface of the frame (120), said side surface being on the side portion side of the frame when viewed from the front surface side, and which seals a hole communicating the space with the outside.
