Abstract:
A first objective of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal composition which has excellent characteristics capable of reflecting light, which is incident in the normal direction onto the surface of a layer, in a direction other than the normal direction, and is for forming a cholesteric liquid crystal layer. In addition, a second objective of the present invention is to provide a cholesteric liquid crystal layer formed by using the liquid crystal composition. In addition, a third objective of the present invention is to provide a cured product obtained by curing the liquid crystal composition. In addition, a fourth objective of the present invention is to provide: an optically anisotropic body formed by using the liquid crystal composition; and an optically anisotropic body comprising the cholesteric liquid crystal layer. In addition, a fourth objective of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a cholesteric liquid crystal layer using the liquid crystal composition. A liquid crystal composition according to the present invention includes: a liquid crystal compound; a chiral agent A; and a chiral agent B in which spiral-inducing force is increased by light irradiation, wherein the chiral agent A induces a spiral in the direction opposite to that of the chiral agent B.
