Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of: providing a polymerizable compound-containing liquid crystal composition for producing a VA-type, PSA-type or PSVA-type liquid crystal display component, for which K33 is large, γ1/K33 is small, VHR after UV irradiation is high, the polymerization rate of the polymerizable compound is fast, and there are very few or no display failures due to changes in pretilt angle, and which has an adequate pretilt angle and excellent response performance; and providing a liquid crystal display component using same. This liquid crystal composition solves the aforementioned problem with a liquid crystal composition containing a formula (B31) compound and a formula (CB31) compound.
