Abstract:
[Problem] The problem this invention addresses is the provision of a liquid-crystal composition that simultaneously exhibits a high transition temperature and a high Δn without compromising properties that are necessary for fast response, high compatibility, and the like. [Solution] This invention makes it possible to provide a liquid-crystal composition that contains at least one compound represented by general formula (N) and at least one compound represented by general formula (L) and thus is resistant to heat- and light-caused degradation and has a low viscosity, a low isotropic transition temperature, high compatibility, and a high degree of refractive-index anisotropy.
