Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device is provided with a liquid crystal display panel
(1), a lighting apparatus (10), and a main frame (20) for holding such panel and
the apparatus. The main frame (20) is so formed as to permit the lighting apparatus
(10) to be taken out from the main frame (20) by sliding the lighting apparatus.
The lighting apparatus (10) is preferably provided with a light guide plate (11),
a fluorescent tube (12) arranged on the side plane of the light guide plate, and
a fluorescent tube holding frame (13) which holds the fluorescent tube (12) with
the light guide plate (11). In such case, the fluorescent tube holding frame (13)
is so formed as to permit the light guide plate (11) and the fluorescent tube (12)
to be taken out from the fluorescent frame (13) at the same time by sliding the light
guide plate and the fluorescent tube in a direction vertical to the normal to an
outgoing plane of the light guide plate (11).
