Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal panel having a plurality of pixels; a detection means for detecting, upon accepting an image signal including a plurality of pixel signals corresponding to each of the plurality of pixels, a level difference, among the plurality of pixel signals, between adjacent pixel signals corresponding to each of adjacent pixels in the liquid crystal panel; and a control means for correcting the image signal so as to reduce the level difference when the level difference is greater than or equal to a prescribed value, generating an image signal for output, and then outputting the image signal for output to the liquid crystal panel to display an image corresponding to the image signal for output.
