Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel having a pair of
substrates to hold a liquid crystal layer and optical components including a
pair of polarizers set on opposite side of the liquid crystal layer with respect to
the pair of substrates, a back lighting unit set on the reverse side of a surface of
the liquid crystal panel, and a near infra-red region absorptive member provided between
at least either the components of the liquid crystal panel or the liquid crystal
panel and the back lighting unit to absorb a near infra-red ranging from 900 nm
to 1100 nm. In the case where the near infra-red region absorptive member is set
on the liquid crystal panel, the near infra-red region absorptive member in the
liquid crystal panel is prepared in at least one of the following members: a polarizer
on the surface side out of the pair of polarizers, the substrate on the side of the
back lighting unit out of the pair of the substrates, the optical component set
on the side opposite to the back lighting unit, and an adhesive layer to adhere
the optical components.
