Abstract:
On a board constituting a liquid crystal display device, a plurality of scanning wirings, a plurality of signal wirings crossing the scanning wirings in a matrix form, and a plurality of semiconductor elements laid out to correspond to cross points of these wirings are formed. Each of the plurality of semiconductor elements has a semiconductor layer which has an intrinsic semiconductor region and a pair of semiconductor regions of a predetermined conduction type formed on both sides of the intrinsic semiconductor region and constituted by a high-resistance region and a low-resistance region, an electrode formed on the intrinsic semiconductor region via an insulating film, and second and third electrodes connected to each of the low-resistance region of the pair of semiconductor regions of the predetermined conduction type. Each of the plurality of scanning wirings constitutes the first electrode of the corresponding semiconductor element of the plurality of semiconductor elements. The first electrode has a first wiring formed on the insulating film and a second wiring formed on the first wiring. A part of the second wiring overlaps a part of the high-resistance region of the pair of semiconductor regions of the predetermined conduction type via the insulating film.
