Abstract:
The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device that has low reflectivity, and in which images tend not to exhibit blueness when displaying black. This liquid crystal display device sequentially comprises a liquid crystal cell, and on the liquid crystal cell, a λ/4-phase difference plate or a λ/2-phase difference plate facing the viewing screen side, a linear polarizer and an anti-reflective film. The anti-reflective film is a light-interference film that has a multilayered film, and reduces reflectance due to light interference. The maximum value of diffuse reflectance of light reflected by the surface of the anti-reflective film in a frequency range of 480 to 580nm is no more than 2%, and the maximum value in the frequency range of 480 to 580nm is less than three times the minimum value.
