Abstract:
Provided is a liquid crystal display device capable of eliminating display quality deterioration due to deformation of a display panel. This liquid crystal display device includes: a first substrate including a data line and a gate line; a second substrate, which is disposed to face the first substrate, and which includes a black matrix; and a liquid crystal layer that is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The black matrix has an opening at a position overlapping the data line and/or the gate line in plan view, and a wall, which is, in plan view, in contact with the first substrate and the second substrate, and overlapping the opening, is formed in the liquid crystal layer.
