Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of improving the response speed of a liquid crystal composition while sufficiently maintaining Δn and Δε. The present invention pertains to: a liquid crystal composition which contains one or more compounds represented by general formula (i) and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by general formula (M) and general formula (K), or selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by general formula (N-1), general formula (N-2), and general formula (N-3); a liquid crystal display device using the liquid crystal composition; the liquid crystal display device for driving an active matrix; and the liquid crystal display device for VA mode, TN mode, OCB mode, ECB mode, FFS mode, or IPS mode.
