Abstract:
This liquid crystal display device includes: first and second substrates; a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first and second substrates; a pixel array (2) disposed in a display region of the first substrate and including a plurality of pixels; a plurality of scanning lines disposed in the pixel array (2); a scanning line driving circuit (4) provided on the first substrate, disposed in a peripheral region around the display region, connected to the plurality of scanning lines, and including a plurality of transistors; a black matrix (14) provided on the second substrate and configured to block light from reaching the boundaries of the plurality of pixels and the peripheral region; and a color resin layer (29) disposed on the black matrix (14) in the peripheral region.
