Abstract:
Disclosed are a liquid crystal display panel, a liquid crystal display apparatus and a display method therefor, relating to the technical field of display, and being able to prevent the use of the optical rotation characteristic of a liquid crystal layer (10) to realize gray scale display, so as to reduce the thickness of the liquid crystal layer (10) and increase the response speed. The liquid crystal display panel comprises a first base substrate (20) and an optical waveguide substrate (30) which are oppositely arranged, a liquid crystal layer (10) located between the first base substrate (20) and the optical waveguide substrate (30), and a pixel electrode (12) and a common electrode (11) which are used for driving the liquid crystal layer (10), wherein the pixel electrode (12) and the common electrode (11) are configured to drive a change in the refractive index of the liquid crystal layer (10); and the optical output rate of the optical waveguide substrate (30) changes with a change in the refractive index of the liquid crystal layer (10).
