Abstract:
The present invention provides a liquid crystal display panel that has excellent viewing angle properties and high transmittance such that the generation of dark lines is suppressed. The liquid crystal display panel according to the prevent invention comprises, in sequence, a first substrate having pixel electrodes, a liquid crystal layer containing liquid crystal molecules, and a second substrate having counter electrodes; the liquid crystal display panel has pixels including at least four alignment regions, namely, a first alignment region, a second alignment region, a third alignment region and a fourth alignment region, such that the tilt directions of the liquid crystal molecules in the four alignment regions differ from each other; the alignment regions are arranged, along the longitudinal directions of the pixels, in the sequence of the first alignment region, the second alignment region, the third alignment region and the fourth alignment region; and the tilt directions of the liquid crystal molecules in the first alignment region and the second alignment region differ by approximately 180°, or the tilt directions of the liquid crystal molecules in the third alignment region and the fourth alignment region differ by approximately 180°.
