Abstract:
The present invention improves position-sensing performance in a liquid crystal display with an in-cell touch panel function by reducing a parasitic capacitance that forms between a drive electrode and counter electrodes. In the liquid crystal display with touch panel function (1), an active matrix substrate (4) is provided with a pixel electrode (43), and a counter substrate (5) is provided with counter electrodes (16), a drive electrode (13) and a sensing electrode (12). Orientation-controlling slits (16s) are provided to the counter electrodes (16).
