Abstract:
A liquid crystal material, liquid crystal display panel manufacturing method, and liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal material comprises liquid crystal molecules (31), a polymerizable monomer (33), and a vertical alignment agent (32). When illuminated with ultraviolet light, the polymerizable monomer (33) and the vertical alignment agent (32) polymerize to form a polymer. The polymer is then deposited on a substrate (1, 2) to form a polymer film (41, 42). The polymer film can be used to replace an alignment film, simplifying a liquid crystal alignment process and reducing cost. The liquid crystal display panel manufacturing method eliminates a step for producing an alignment film, simplifying a production process and reducing production costs. The liquid crystal display panel replaces an alignment film with the polymer film (41, 42) obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable monomer (33) and the vertical alignment agent (32). The invention thereby achieves the goals of liquid crystal alignment and prevents an ionic impurity in a TFT substrate (1) and a CF substrate (2) from spreading into a liquid crystal layer (3), greatly improving panel quality while lowering manufacturing costs.
