Abstract:
A liquid-crystal polyester composition including a liquid-crystal polyester and an olefin copolymer including repeating units from an α-olefin and repeating units from an α,β-unsaturated acid glycidyl ester; the content of liquid-crystal polyester is from more than 80 mass% to 95 mass% and the content of olefin copolymer is from 5 mass% to less than 20 mass% when the total contents of liquid-crystal polyester and olefin copolymer are taken to be 100 mass%; and the dispersion size of the olefin copolymer measured by the following measurement method is less than 0.8 μm. [Measurement method] The diameter equivalent to a circle of the olefin copolymer is measured at 100 locations in a scanning electron microscope image of the liquid-crystal polyester, and the average of the measured values obtained is calculated.
