Abstract:
Disclosed is a liquid distributor for evenly distributing liquid onto mass transfer and heat exchange surfaces, e.g. in absorbers, evaporators, tube bundle exchangers etc. The liquid distributor comprises a distributor reservoir (2) provided with a base (4), a liquid feed (6) into which a liquid inlet (8) flows and by means of which the liquid which is to be distributed into the distributor reservoir can be introduced, in addition to a plurality of liquid outlets which are provided in the base (4) of the distributor reservoir (2) and which define a liquid distribution area (12). The liquid outlets (10) are provided with charge earlets (16) which respectively comprise an upper (18) and a lower (20) opening. The charge earlets (16) penetrate the base (4) of the distributor reservoir (2). They protrude with a given length into the distributor reservoir (4) and extend downwards from the base of the reservoir (4). Various liquid distribution profiles can be obtained as a result of the various dimensions of the charge earlets (16).
