Abstract:
Provided is a liquid droplet discharge device capable of efficiently performing an operation for connecting a liquid droplet discharge head and a head drive circuit via a cable. To this end, a liquid droplet discharge device is equipped with a liquid droplet discharge head 32, a head drive circuit 34 for driving the liquid droplet discharge head 32, a carriage 31 for moving while supporting the liquid droplet discharge head 32 and the head drive circuit 34, and a cable 47 which is capable of electrically connecting the head connector 46 of the liquid droplet discharge head 32 and the circuit connector 45 of the head drive circuit 34, and is removably connected to the head connector 46 and to the circuit connector 45. The liquid droplet discharge head 32 and the head drive circuit 34 are positioned in a manner such that the head connector 46 and the head drive circuit 34 do not overlap in the direction in which the cable 47 is withdrawn from the head connector 46, and the circuit connector 45 and the liquid droplet discharge head 32 do not overlap in the direction in which the cable 47 is withdrawn from the circuit connector 45.
