Abstract:
A liquid injection head is capable of injecting liquid drops to a target position. A carrying means carries a first target medium to the target position in a first direction. A guide member has a guide surface along which a tray member having a second target medium placed thereon is fed to the target position in a second direction opposite to the first direction, the guide member being rotatable between a first position for closing the guide surface and a second position for opening the guide surface. A sensor detects which of the first and second positions the guide member is in. A control means inhibits the carriage of the first target medium by the carrying means when the sensor detects that the guide member is in the second position.
