A fluid injection device (1) has the following: an outer cylinder (3) which has a fluid storage space (33); a fluid guide unit (4) that is formed in the tip of the outer cylinder (3) and that has a flow channel (41) connected to the fluid storage space (33); and a fluid guide channel (75) that is disposed so that it is capable of being displaced in relation to the fluid guide unit (4), is connected to the flow channel (41), and can open the flow channel (41). The fluid injection device (1) is provided with the following: an inside plug (7) that can be displaced between a first position wherein the flow channel (41) and the fluid guide channel (75) are blocked and a second position wherein the flow channel (41) and the fluid guide channel (75) are connected; a hub (11) that is mounted on the inside plug (7); a needle pipe (12) that is supported by the hub (11) and is connected to the flow channel (41) via the fluid guide channel (75) when the inside plug (7) is in the second position; and a protector (9) that covers the needle pipe (12) when the protector in a state of fixed installation on the inside plug (7). The inside plug (7) is displaced from the first position to the second position in conjunction with the action of withdrawing the protector (9) that exposes the needle pipe (12).
