A liquid-injection-type air battery (C1) is provided with: electrode structures (1), each provided with an air electrode (1A) and a metal negative electrode (1B); electrode accommodation parts (2), each of which accommodates the electrode structure (1) and an electrolyte liquid in a liquid-tight manner; and at least one power-generating unit containing tanks (3) wherein the electrolyte liquid is stored, said electrolyte liquid being to the electrode accommodation parts (2). The tanks (3) are capable of undergoing shrinkage deformation to a state in which the capacity of the tanks is reduced. Miniaturization can be achieved by configuring the liquid-injection-type air battery (C1) such that, when the electrolyte liquid is stored, gaps between spaces (4) disposed on the air electrode (1A) side of the electrode structures (1), and an air flow path (6) that communicates with the spaces (4), are blocked, and following shrinkage deformation, the gaps between the spaces (4) and the air flow path (6) open while the electrolyte liquid is supplied to the electrode accommodation part (2). Furthermore, reduction in weight and size is achieved even if an assembled type of liquid-injection-type air battery provided with a plurality of power-generating units is configured.
