Abstract:
A liquid level detector having an excellent workability for electrically connecting a hard wired substrate to a terminal and a method of assembling the detector, the detector comprising a float arm (2) having a float floating on a liquid level, an arm holder (4) holding the float arm (2) and having the rotating pivot (24) of the float arm (2), a first frame (29) having a first bearing part (31) for pivotally supporting the rotating pivot (24) of the arm holder (4), a second frame (28) having a second bearing part (30) pivotally supporting the rotating pivot (24) of the arm holder (4), the hard wired substrate (7) fixed to the first frame (29), a contact holding member (5) having a sliding contact (6) sliding on the hard wired substrate (7) and fixed to the arm holder (4), the terminal (20) electrically connected to an electrode formed on the hard wired substrate (7), and a connection part for optically connecting the electrode of the hard wired substrate (7) to the terminal (20).
