Abstract:
This liquid level detector is provided with: a dielectric waveguide member which has a pillar shape formed using a dielectric body and which has multiple holes that extend from the front end surface to the rear end surface, wherein the front end part of the dielectric waveguide member is inserted into the liquid; a transmission unit which transmits radio waves towards the rear end surface of the dielectric waveguide member; a receiving unit which receives reflected waves on the rear end side of the dielectric waveguide member, these being radio waves that have intruded into the holes and have been reflected by the liquid surface; and a calculation unit which calculates the distance to the liquid surface on the basis of the radio waves transmitted by the transmission unit and the reflected waves received by the receiving unit.
